Nearly a decade ago, my doula told me to write down my birth story immediately after giving birth as details are forgotten quickly. I listened, and wrote my birth story during the first few days of my daughters life. With my second baby, I wasn’t as quick, and my birth story is lacking the punch my first story had. With my third baby, I can barely remember but a few moments of what happened, and I never wrote the story down. Now, as a birth photographer, I am able to help mothers tell their birth story, through pictures and video. Some of the images I capture have moved mom, dad, and family to tears as they see how incredible and strong they were. When I shoot birth photography, or any session for that matter, I get the formal shots, but I always capture emotions and relationships to tell a story about who is in the photo. There is nothing better than a candid that makes mom giggle and say “that is SO him....” or a mother looking back at the photos I took of the birth 30 minutes before and she starts to tear up seeing how strong she was and what she accomplished.

When you book a Birth Photography session with Untouched Photography LLC, you will receive every image in your gallery.  I do not believe in capturing one of life's most incredible moments, but only providing a handful of images.  Your photos will tell a story of your birthing experience, and will be treasured forever.  Additionally, at Untouched Photography LLC, we treasure birth photography and videography so much, our philosophy is significantly different from other photographers.  From the moment you book our services, until well after we are done, we are here for you.  We do not care if you have a premature baby, or a 43 weeker- if you call, I will be there.  I do not leave the county from 36/37 weeks gestation until delivery.  If you reside in a different county than us, I will only travel closer to you (with gear in hand) should I leave my home.  If you have a history of premature birth, or have a condition that may necessitate an early delivery, these dates will shift in your favor, just in case.  From 37 weeks gestation on, I travel everywhere with my gear. Labor can be quite unpredictable, and I will always be ready.  From 38 weeks gestation on, I refuse all bookings for other sessions.  Nothing will get in the way of me attending your birth, and capturing a once in a lifetime event, ever.

 

Each birth I photograph has about 200-300 finished images that will be delivered to you.  Mothers are able to look through all of the images I take shortly after giving birth, and complete galleries are delivered within the week.  Capturing beautiful moments like these are what I live for!
